Forces Veterans Afloat Boats
We were origianally told that no one would give us a boat - how wrong that turned out to be and what boats they are! We are astonished at the generocity of our boat donors, without them, we would be no where.
NB Delilah
Delilah came to us in October 2025. The amazing gift of Penny and Phlip. She is 57ft, trad stern, revers layout, Liverpool build. She is assigned to a veteran.

NB Madeley Wood
The gift of John and Barbara, who designed and built her, Madely Wood is a trad stern, 42ft, tug-fronted boat. She is deployed with a veteran.

NB Stingray
Stingray is a one-off build, aluminium SeaOtter. She is the only 41ft centre cockpit ever made by the company. She is currently continuously cruising with a veteran.

NB SammyB
Given to us by Judy, who had her built - she is a 40ft, cruiser stern and is currently assigned to a veteran.

CC Susie Splash
Susie is our only GRP boat. She was too good to turn down. She was built by Creighton and for a boat of her type, built in 1969, she is in remarkable condition. Susie is our asessment boat and acts as short term accomodation.

NB Atalanta
Atalanta came to us from Market Drayton and is our pocket-rocket. She's 30ft and a cruiser stern. She is due to return to the fleet in early 2026 following an exterior repaint and remedial work to her interior, after she was left in a bad state by the person using her. Atalanta is sponored by the charity, Veterans of War.

NB Daisy
FVA's 70ft Flagship - built in 1921, Daisy is part wooden and built as a coal barge, working the canals of the Midlands, pulled by a horse. She was converte in to a holiday boat and the cabin put on her, by 2 lovely couples from Market Harborough. Daisy will not be deployed with a veteran but tour festivals and boat gathering representing FVA and it's work.

NB Flossie Will'um
Given to us by a veteran in the summer of 2025, Flossie Will'um is 37ft and a cruiser stern. She is a total refurbishment boat and will be worked on in 2026. We are looking for a boat-sponsor for her.

NB Clover - The Longest Yarn Boat
57ft, cruiser stern Clover is lucky enough to have a wonderful sponsor. She has been adopted by the charity The Longest Yarn, who are funding her refurbishment and knitting all sorts of beautiful soft furnishings for her and the rest of the fleet. She should be deployed in late 2026.

NB Capricorn
Capricorn is 35ft and a cruiser stern. She is a "wooden top" - her cabin s made of wood - which desparately needs replacing. She was buit in the early 1970's at Braunton, by Chris Barney - know as the Grandfather of modern leisure boats as he was one of the 1st people to see the potential of old, working boats as holiday boats. We are looking for a sponsor for Capricorn.
